Tilers have said how valuable it will be to have an adhesive you can actually control in any temperature. As cold temperatures usually mean even rapid-setting adhesives can take 8-12hrs (or more) to set, some older techniques have been to mix with hot water from the kettle!!! Not the best alternative for a professional tiler and although it may speed up the set time it gives no control for the tiler who could still be left with a wait, or if misjudged, the adhesive actually sets so quickly the mix is wasted!
In hot or cold temperatures tilers know exactly how long they have for working times and setting times with BAL Variset XP. The table on the packaging clearly shows timings available. All tilers need to do is get the room temperature (using the thermo-label which is already on the bottle) and decide for themselves what working & setting times they want. Then just add the liquid dosage as stated! ...no messing about, no mass waste from mistakes just total control for the first time!!
